In Loving Memory
Anna Mack Obituary
March 7, 1921 - May 8, 2025 (age 104)
Anna Eleanor Mack (nee Manns), a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 104 years.
Anna was born on March 7, 1921, in Grandview, MB to parents Caroline and Andrew Manns, the middle daughter of a family of seven boys and seven girls. Growing up on a farm, the family was a very close-knit crew. Some activities that Anna loved were music, playing guitar and violin, square dancing, playing cards, reading, and completing crosswords. Anna met and married John Mack and together they raised four children in Creighton, SK, near Flin Flon, MB. Anna was always an active member of her community; she was a life member of the Order of the Royal Purple and enjoyed to curl and travel. Along with participating in curling she also enjoyed watching the sport on tv as well as cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2002, Anna moved to Creston to be closer to family, where she lived in Crest View Village. She had a plot in the first Creston Community Garden and loved the Wynndel sing-along as well as all the activities provided at Crest View, especially if they included dressing up and wearing a bit of bling. In talking with friends and family a word to describe Anna, that was used time and time again, is amazing.
Anna was predeceased by her husband of 58 years John, son-in-law Sheldon, parents Caroline and Andrew, brothers Arlington, Gerald, Norman, George, Raymond, Fred, and Charlie, sisters Ila, Lila, Ruth, Hester, Doris, and Irene, as well as nieces and nephews.

Marge Manns Obituary
June 13, 1930 ~ December 21, 2025 (age 95)
Marjorie (Marge) Ellen Manns passed away in the early morning hours of December 21st, 2025 at the Grandview Personal Care Home at the age of 95 ½ years, with her son at her side.
Marge was born June 13, 1930 in Grandview, Mb – first child of Jim and Ella Crowe. She grew up on the farm in the Wicklow District of Grandview, in the house that is now part of the Grandview museum, with her brother Ken.
After graduating from Wicklow School, Marge moved to Winnipeg to attend “Normal” School to become a teacher. She taught for one year at Strathcona School, a small rural school in the RM of Gilbert Plains, from September 1947 to June 1948. During that time, however, she met “her Charlie,” and before long, lesson plans gave way to love—changing her priorities in the best possible way.
Marge married Charlie Manns on October 15, 1948. Their marriage was a true testament to enduring love- just six hours short of celebrating 70 years together. Even in their later years, they carried themselves like a young couple—they were playful, laughed easily and truly enjoyed one another’s company.
In the early years Charlie had to go looking for work and was away in Winnipeg and western Ontario. But they wrote many letters back and forth- this was back when a stamp was .02 cents! They then moved to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta for a few years where Charlie worked at Sherritt Gordon as a labourer and Marge worked as a clerk at a local store. Those years of hard work allowed them to save enough money to return to Manitoba and establish their life in farming.
Marge and Charlie owned and operated their farm four miles south of Grandview for 60 years, always welcoming family and friends from near and far into their home. After much convincing on Charlie’s part, they eventually sold the farm and moved into Valley Villa in 2010, where they continued to build friendships and enjoy community life.
Music was always an important part of Marge and Charlie’s life together. As a young couple, they attended community dances—sometimes arriving in the Model T and other times by horse and sleigh. Later in life, they took up square dancing, forming wonderful friendships, staying active, and sharing many laughs. They also enjoyed travelling, including bus tours, camping, and a memorable family trip to Ireland to revisit Marge’s roots. Marge also enjoyed playing cards and games, especially crokinole.
Marge and Charlie had a daughter, Evelyn Grace, on May 2, 1958, and later welcomed their son, Marshall George, born June 30, 1966. Marge’s life was deeply rooted in her love and devotion to her children and then their families.
Marge was predeceased by her parents Jim & Ella Crowe, her brother Kenneth Crowe, an infant son Christopher in 1952 and the love of her life Charles Allan Manns in October 2018. All of Charlie’s 13 siblings and their spouses have also passed on.
Marge is survived by her children, Evelyn (Kenny) Stiff and Marshall (Marlene) Manns; her grandchildren, Katie (Donny) Stiff and great-grandson Sam, Stephen (Brianne) Stiff and great-granddaughter Emilie, Jessie (George) Manns and great-granddaughter Imogen, Michael (Logan) Manns, and Gage (Kaitlyn) Gogal; as well as her sister-in-law Marie Crowe, cousin Roy (Iris) Crowe and many cousins both here and in Ireland.
Marge will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, love of family, and the warm welcome she extended to all that crossed her path.
